After reviewing all of the available information regarding the ability to operate a 2020 seasonal schedule, even on a reduced basis, the Board of Directors has come to the conclusion that it will not be possible to do so and thus is cancelling the 2020 season effective immediately.
Please be assured that we have looked at a number of alternatives and have held many hours of conversations in both small and large groups to address the 2020 season. And we wish to thank all those club officials that kept us informed of their situation “on the ground” within their communities. The information that was shared by you was needed and helpful to the Board’s deliberations.
As you, our member clubs, move forward throughout the remainder of 2020 we encourage you to look at simple, community based opportunities to possibly offer “house” programs this fall and to use the many interclub contacts you've made to craft creative but safe solutions to provide the players an opportunity to play when you are able. Also, this may be a good opportunity for club leadership to reassess all of your program offerings and to make plans for strengthening and improving your club's programming and sustainability.
